Annual Christmas Parade
The Annual Bahama Christmas Parade will take place this year on December 15th, starting at 10:00. If you would like to register to be in the parade please call Charles at 471- 2648 or Randy at 471-6397.

Community Calendar — Please view our event calendar to see a listing of events in our community. If you have community events you would like to see added, please contact the .
Forums and Polls — You can also visit our forums. You can view the forums without registering for them but once you register to use the forums you can create your own online topics and discussions. Anything from discussions on the Horton Grove expansion to sharing hunting stories to trading recipes can happen inside the forums. Parents could set up forums to discuss their child's school, churches could set up discussion forums. There are a lot of possibilities for what could be done in this section of the site.
Email Lists — We currently have two automated email lists set up; One for Ruritan Members Only to receive the Monthly Newsletter and other club news. The second list is for community members to sign up to receive community news. The community list is open to everyone and moderated posts can be made to the list from subscribers. Posts to the list should be in good taste and should be related to events and news in Bahama and the surrounding rural communities.

Future Website Plans:
Opportunities to contribute to the site — We will need volunteers to write text for this site. Articles on the Ruritan Club or what the club and community have meant to you will be very much appreciated. We would also like to add a short history of Bahama if anyone is interested in writting that.
We could also use any photos you have of community and club events as well as scenic photos of the area. We will scan these photos for possible use in the site and return them to you in the condition they were received. If you have digital photos we would appreciate them also and it would save us the step of scanning them

Ruritan Business Directory — Another feature we are planning for the site is a directory of local businesses which are owned by, or employ Ruritan Club members. We are doing this as a service to the community to help people who are new to or moving into the area connect to local businesses. Links — We plan to maintain a list of links that will be relevant to Ruritans, those interested in becoming Ruritans and the community at large. If you have a link that you think sould be here please let us know.
